Fundraising
Your Finnish Friends (YFF) association received an official fundraising permit on 19 December 2022. Before getting the permit, we had already managed to organize two small collections that reached €10,000.
The association collects funds primarily through donations brought by active communications and campaigning on social media. We also sell our own support products and receive donations through our partners' support product sales.
In addition, we have also organized a padel tournament for companies, in collaboration with the Association of Ukrainians in Finland, brought a Russian tank that was destroyed in Ukraine to Helsinki, and talked about helping Ukraine in Suomi-Areena, several media publications and as a guest in several podcasts. Our fundraising takes place within the boundaries of our fundraising permit (RA/2022/1753) that was received on
19 December 2022.
Procurement
We have extensive contacts with Finns working in Ukraine. We actively discuss with them regarding their needs so that we can source what is truly needed in the field.
Your Finnish Friends (YFF) has acquired ballistic helmets, protective plates, bullet and shrapnel vests, tourniquets, first aid kits, winter clothing, vehicles and other materials that make a fighter's everyday life better and, above all, safer.
Relief transports
Our extensive and reliable network of contacts and the transports we carry out ourselves ensure the delivery of help to those who genuinely need it.
We don't use middlemen for the transport itself. Instead purchases go from Finland directly to Ukraine. In this way, we ensure that the material aid finds its way to where it is really needed.
Coming back
We help Finns returning from Ukraine to secure the basic conditions for civilian life.
We support and guide, for example, in acquiring an apartment, government subsidies and a job.
We are also working to ensure that, if necessary, the experiences brought by war can be dealt with the support of professionals so that they hinder the adaptation to civilian life as little as possible.
Behind the association
Your Finnish Friends ry is an association whose board of directors is elected annually. The association was registered on 29 March 2022.

Your Finnish Friends does not provide contacts to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, nor does it assist with enlistment arrangements.
